Tacomas are cute. D*** good vehicle for getting groceries in. As far as actually doing a man's job, it's not going to cut it.

This guy... Faster than you can blink? You really devalued any claim you made after that.

I guess metaphors don't have their place in a fishing forum.

I'll be more literal, I've had 3 tundra's in 15 years. All traded in with 250k+ miles in perfect running condition.

In the same time span, my friend has been through 2 Silverado's, 1 GMC, and 3 F-150's. All traded in because of mechanical, physical, or electrical problems. He has been in a rental car more than his own vehicles due to manufacturer defects.

I have a 2012 Ram Hemi and my work truck is a 2011 F150, I have not had any issues with either. They pull pull my Frontier 2104 just fine. I would also say the Sync and the Uconnect are basically equal.

I'm talking towing a load. Not a d*** boat. Hook up a gooseneck, 100hp tractor, and a batwing and let me know how that toy handles it.

I'm not concerned with speed. I'm working with my truck, not trying to run from it as fast as I can. I bet you look like a bad*** racing in your tacoma.

I've been having the new dodge Eco diesel for a few months. Love it. Drive to work" 400 miles round trip to Houston" I gotten up to 32 mpg. Drove it deer hunting to Eagle Pass texas last week. Over a 1000 mile trile. Truck load with 3 people all our gear and 5 deer on ice on trip back. I got 27 miles per gallon drivive 75 to 80 mph.

That's some awesome mileage. Is that hand calculated or the truck computer?

In the last 15 years I've had

1 dodge 1500
1 Ford F-150
1 Nissan Frontier
1 Toyota 4 Runner
1 GMC Sierra 1500

Put about 60,000 miles on all of them

The only problem I had was the AC went out in the Frontier ( I bought it used and it had over 75,000 miles), I don't know what people are doing to have such bad luck with vehicles, mine have all treated me really me (Knock on wood) really well. If you've ever heard the expression "they don't make them like they use too" that statement is 100% correct, they make them 10 times better now.

It's all perspective. some people have a good experience with a certain brand and become loyal to the brand. other people see bad things happening with other brands and stay away from .
