Angry broken down in vbay bad day

Well everything was goin well until we were going down shark bayou. Was cruise pretty gooduntil the outboard hitted a log or something. So I cutted the engine offf and trimed it up the lower unitfin was bent to hell. After inspecting the damage I go to crank it up, Nothing....stared to check for fuel and spark it was good. Try playing wirh the outboard for a good hr. Decide to drop the trolling motor and head back in. A nice couple in a sea hunt stoped and gave me a tow back in.

Started to hand winch my boat back on to the trailer and the damn spare tire I waa standing on. The bolt broke off send the spare tire and me into the water..[IMG][/IMG]

That happened to us years ago. I am not a fan of Shark Bayou for that reason. But we fished Bird Island and Oyster Lake yesterday afternoon...one red. The water looked like chocolate milk crossing the bay, found some good water inside the island, but not great.

Goooh- We did not troll all the way in made it about 100 ft and a couple towed us back in.

rk3-Before heading to shark bayou, we try making a run to Bird Island but the water was ruff in the morning around 9ish.

We did not launch until about 245 pm. Still a good bump on the bay going out, coming in was not bad at all
