Default Best bass fishing places South Louisiana

What are the best places for bass fishing around the South Louisiana area? I have heard the laccasine pools are pretty good, but have never been and don't know how hard it is to navigate. I was also wondering if anybody has fished Lake Arthor and how good of a fisheries is it. Any tips and places to fish is greatly appreciate thanks in advanced.

Lacassine is not bad getting around but motor is limited to 40 hp and under. As for as the Lake Arthur area. The water is very high. You will have to find some clear water.

I'm not going back to The Burns until next year. Too many dense banks of hyacinth in the main canals. The stuff isn't horrible anywhere except the main canals.
I went out there on 6/27; after going through five dense mats of the stuff, I finally reached the Eastern end of the 45 Canal and came upon the holy grail of Hyacinth mats.
I just turned the boat around, it was so dense. I can't justify beating the hell out of my motor like that.
I had also spun my prop a couple of months ago in that stuff. It's just not worth it.
Once you get past that stuff, it's a fantastic fishery.

there are bass in just about any water body, find a launch and pretty much go. Several places in port barre, krotz springs area, plus you have henderson. Some places may be hard to figure out, but once you figure them out, there are plenty to catch.

Go a little north and theres Chicot, Millers, Indian Creek, Crooked Creek and more. All within an hour drive of lafayette
