Default Hopefully the first week is the toughest

Have not had a dip in a week. I have to quit dipping because I am doing Invisalign braces this summer so I started as a Lent penance. Day 4 was horrible, but it's getting better. Skoal fine cut for 32 years is a hard habit to break.

I'm three years into it. Skoal fine cut wintergreen for 20 years. Can a day for 15 of them. If I can do it anyone can, trust me. It gets easier. Just take 1 day at a time and don't think you can have just one. Your one dip away from a can a day again, trust me. Good luck, stay strong, and in the end it will be the best thing you ever do.

Congratulations for working to break the habit. Keep at it.

Day 21 feeling pretty good. Instead of a dip when I get home, I drink high quality alcohol. Now wife is worried about the beer drinking. Think I might have it whipped but getting fatter. Going to be tough for the Big Lake charity weekend

I probably drink a few more than I did when I smoked too. I can assure you that I've put on weight. About 15 lbs to date.

Coming up on 5 weeks, today is a tough day. Can't believe I am still struggling with this. Most days are fine, some days really suck.

I quit smoking cold turkey about 10 years ago and took a dip about 6 months after whipping the smoking.... now I dip a can of copenhagen pouches a day. I tried quiting but found it is ten times harder then smoking. I have to say I never put forth a real effort to quit though. Glad to see you are determined to quit. You are 5 weeks into it man, don't give in now!

I just found this thread. 30 years of Skoal fine cut myself (quit once for 9 months). I quit 2 years ago on my 50th birthday. The first week to ten days was a beoch! I've had a dip or two since but no Skoal. It's so unique. Nothing else would do. I am no doubt a nicotine addict. I hope you're still off of it bro. It's a muther to kick.
