Default Sigh...Dulac full moon 6/23 stinker

I usually try to avoid the FM, but always go fishing when I can go. Supposed to hop aboard a snapper trip, but storms and the second day of a back to back spooked the captain.

Soooo, loaded up the little boat and headed south 50 min behind schedule. Arrived to the Friday hotspot to a chop, two boats and dirty water. Started out ok, but only scratched out six before 10:30 when I took a nap. In between I arrived at a second spot and was sizing up a drift when an idiot that redefined the term ran smack over the reef on half step. Had to take a slow count to ten on that one.

Never turned on, even when the tide switched. The shrimp and birds did come to life in the open water and I kept two out of a dozen or so.

Ran inside to the oyster reefs and the big black drum were everywhere tipping, with one perfect redfish tagging along that made the travel team.

There will be better days ahead...
