Default Todelo Bend help

Wife want to go to Toledo at the end of July. We will be staying by the hwy 5 bridge just in Texas. I know as much about bass fishing as I do about rocket science. What are some baits to use and is it better to fish shallow or deep that time of year? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The easiest way is to beat the bank with a watermelon red senko or any other plastic. Look for grass or tree cover. This is not the best way for all conditions but is the easiest most consistent way to catch a few.

Agreed but also early morn top water and late evening top water. Best bites overall will be early and late. You could also try pitching some docks with black and blue jigs. If it's a full moon then you could do some good at night beating the banks with all black spinnerbaits

Good luck.

Anyone fishing the mid-lake area? Heading up there this weekend and I am itching for an early frog bite.

Bass will be schooling early mornings and late afternoons. Would target those with small spoons and rattle traps

Where the creeks run into the main lake usually. They will come up and bust the top of the water

Try between springhill 11 and springhill 12, south the bridge heading toward palo gaucho. Carolina rigged watermelon red baby brush hogs.
