Default Holly beach

Can you drive a vehicle on holly beach? From Baton Rouge and never been down that way. Just curious if vehicles were allowed or not. Thanks. Ryan

It is allowed, but one must stay on the South side of the high tide line. North of the high tide line is either private property or part of the Cameron Parish right of way where dunes are being rebuilt/vegetation planted, etc. One must also make vehicle entry onto the beach at a marked entrance. After several dunes were lost during TS Cindy last month, people have been getting tickets for crossing onto the beach where dunes used to be.
