Default Prien

I've only fished big lake and was wanting to get some info on Prien. How is the trout bite in the fall and winter? Thanks for any info.

Fishing in that area can be good..... it all depends if it rains too much, bad for fishing.

I've done pretty well the last couple seasons from August to February. Of course, the tactics and locations I fish change throughout that time period, but like Gerald said, as long as it doesn't rain a LOT, I've caught some really nice fish up here in fall/winter. Not any monsters, but several up to 4 lbs.

Yes..... but most areas you need to get there by boat.

Sometimes a place like the swimming beach of Lake Charles can be good for trout.
