Default A N O T H E R Great Snapper Trip

Catching these are getting a bit boring! My buddy Joey slammed the snapper today while I made my first trip to Mobile Bay/Dauphin Island area. He caught these snapper and I had 44 trout from 15"-24". Offshore and Inshore, we had a great day.

As boring as they are to catch, we'll be going back for some more on Monday.

The guy to the right of the guy holding the fish threw up shortly after this pic was taken, must have been the Ole Miss cap that made him sick!

It'll be in the early fall when kids get back to school. We're in the middle of precussion camps, band camps and weekends at the farm before summer is out. I'll be coming when the fall bite kicks off. I did find some fine speck fishing in the Mobile Bay/Dauphin Island area. Lotta water east of us over here. I'll post the dock pic when I get them. All the fish we caught were from 20-26 inches. One of the best trout boxes I've caught in a couple years. Can't wait to get back to Big Lake and Cajun Charlies, great food. Glad to see your water cleared up over there. It was an aweful spring with all the wind and water.

Awesome man. Yeah that poor fellow looks a little green and sunburned the same time.

What size cape horn is that and how far out do you have to go?

21 Cape Horn with twin 115's. Big 21 ft boat. It'll get you wet, but it's great in a sea and fishes very well. Right now the big snapper are in 130 ft of water which is a 40 mile trip from Pascagoula to the southeast.
