Pics of things I've found in bass' stomachs while filleting.
If y'all have some to add, please share. I keep waiting to find a small bird.
Here's a tiny bluegill.
This is a 12" soft plastic black/red flake worm from another angler who got there some time before me.
The good old crawfish:
Two shad in the stomach:

A single shad in there.

Another:
My friend sent this pic. Bass caught on Sabine River with a snake in stomach.

Craziest thing I found was a baby duck.

Also, caught a bass near the end of one trip and when I cleaned it, it had a crawfish inside that was still alive. I have also seen a few plastic baits, white shrimp, and small crabs. But mostly it's crawfish, small perch, or minnows.

post like this make me wish there were handy cameras back in the day. I got no pics but I have found pecans, the old type beer tabs that peeled off. and several other things in their bellies. I have caught em with crawfish still sticking out where ya could see the claws in their mouths. To me that says they are aggressive opportunists and even with a full belly if ya pass it by them they will take it with a full belly.

How big was the bass, and do you remember where it was caught?

It was probably a couple of pounds and I caught it in the burns a couple of years ago.

A buddy that lives on a ski lake 1600' long and narrow and they have seen big bass bust into the baby ducks and eventually all 7 ducklings disappeared in a few weeks. Really upset his wife.
