Default Calcasieu help

I'm new to the Lafayette area and I was wondering if there are any wade-in spots in Lake Calcasieu? I don't want you to have to expose any secret spots, but any help would be much appreciated! I'm ready for some fat winter trout!

Tight lines!

there are many flats along the banks on the east side of the lake as well as on the banks along the ship channel peninsula and on the west side of big lake. find hard sandy bottom or oyster reefs and your in like flynn.

Do you have a boat?

Access is very limited for wade fishing without a boat.

unless you would be willing to walk a good 3-500 yds through the marsh... it would be very difficult without a boat

The beaches are going to pick up soon with the North winds. Those are good wading spots.

Ray, who owns the property south of Deatonville where the yellow Locked pipe gate is? Would love to get access to that property.

By Blue Camp? I always wonder how waders get in there with no boat. I can see from the highway how you could get in there, but I dont know if you "can."

I don't know who owns any property in Deatonville.
I think there is a Saltycajun who has a friend who has a camp and launch at the very South end of Deatonville. But I don't want to name him, he might not want anyone to ask him to ask his friends to launch or fish there.
