Default New closures as of 7/5

All of Ms state waters are now closed as well as Lake borgne, the entire biloxi marsh, hopedale, parts of the ponchatrain and delecroix. Looks like I'm going to be terroizing the bass boats in the local lakes for a while.

http://www.louisianasportsman.com/details.php?id=2346 only link i could find to the updated information.

LDWF commission meeting this Thursday, 9:30, at dwf headquarters on quail drive in br. Show up to protest Barham's knee-jerk reactions to fishing closures. The only way we can be heard is if we show up in numbers and speak with one voice.

What about the decision was knee-jerk? Not trying to start a big to-do just curious. Did they find oil coming in there or is it maybe do to the low pressure system forming in the gulf? Enlighten me!

Bingo, If I can get a nice one. I'm gonna be set. I'll make some hams, bacon, sausage, tasso and anything else will just get smoked for some pulled pork.

dont know if it is true or not but what ive heard from a few people down in the hopedale area that have guide services , is that the areas were closed as a precautionary messure dur to extremly high tides caused by the past week of strond e and se winds. like i said i dont know for certian but we can only hope it will reopen once the tides return to normal and the area is then determined to be oil free

I kinda figured that. I'm not sure it's a bad idea, really. That's just me and, of course, I'm not trying to make my living in those waters, either!
