Default Tilapia

Has anybody ever tried the frozen tilapia from Wal-Mart and if so what are some ways to cook it. I don't like fish that is strong so I'm reluctant to try it.

Fresh Tilapia aint bad but the frozen is pretty rank. I'd rather buy the catfish nuggets or fillets

very overrated, i would eat them if they were free, but not worth buying. They are not bad, but there are many things swimming around our waters that are better.

I prefer fresh fish that I caught. My wife was told about it by someone she works with. She cooks it in the MICROWAVE. I picked some up lastnight at Wal-Mart but just couldn't bring myself to do buy it. It had to much red on it. It did say it was farm raised.

Haha. If I had bought some it would not have been cooked in the microwave.

Haha. Not yet. Like I said, I was just wondering. Growing up we never ate any fish other than perch, bass catfish and reds. Hopefully I'll have some bass after this coming up weekend. Hopefully Weedwacker and myself will catch a few bass at Toledo.

I get it from Market Basket . The one here in town has the frozen individual packaged kind. I grill it and its not to bad ,but not as good as fresh specs .The talapia at O'Charleys is pretty good if you just wanna try it.

Sounds like the same kind that Walmart sells. I was there Friday afternoon and almost tried it.
