Default vet recommendation lake charles area

I moved to the area about a year ago and have yet to find a veterinarian's office that I like. I've seen a couple good vets, but they lacked decent facilities, I found a nice facility, but the staff didn't seem too knowledgeable. I need a place that can deal with the needs of hunting dogs and must have a decent boarding facility (outdoor runs are necessary for a big dog like mine) in case I have to go out of town for a few days. Who do you go to and why do you prefer them?

I like Country Club Vet. Gill was the best but he's almost out the door. They're thorough and cordial, unlike most vets I've been to, who just wanna get you in and out an move you through like cattle. As far as performance dogs, they're still learning. But they're willing to learn and that's the difference.

University has done all my cutting since 2005, most knowledgeable Vets and not afraid to get dirty. I was referred to them when I lived in Laffy because most Vets only do surgery to spay/neuter and that's it. When a vet calls you on Sunday morning to discuss how an expensive preformance animal is doing health wise it says a lot. When they personally call you crying to tell you your dog didn't make it and thank you for your effort it says a lot. That was the best $1,600 I ever spent on an animal and would do it again.

I moved my 2 dogs, 6 cats, and lizard to Country Club this past year. They have some seriously fancy boarding rooms, but I'm not sure about the outdoor run.

I used bayou south at first but I was very disappointed in the service and the knowledge. I then moved to dr loftin at university who I loved. He has since retired so I was dr Woodward there now. I have been satsified so for but I don't use them for boarding.

Based on recommendations posted here plus further research, I went to Gill's yesterday. Very glad I did. Found a vet who duck hunts and knows hunting dogs, was very knowledgeable when I asked him some questions, is very friendly, and has a good boarding facility. Finally, I have found a local vet clinic that I like.

Did you have to ask to see Dr. Gill I would like to see him? I always get the woman who just runs me in and out hurrying to the next person.

I did not specifically ask, but did see Dr. Gill. I'm sure you could ask when you called for an appointment.
