Default Will an elephant eat a peanut?

What is your biggest trout and what did it eat?

My biggest trout ate a chartreuse sparkle beetle (7.5), the runner ups ate a gulp shrimp.I dont believe big trout will ONLY eat big baits but I agree with catching bigger trout on big lures and topwaters. Many people preach big lures for big trout but I want to know what you guys have had success with big or small.

if they eatin big mullet (winter time) big baits if they eatin small prey like shad i like smaller baits like plactics and spook jrs. But i have caught nice fish in the winter on tails but mostly like to use big baits like corkies, manic mullets, and full size tops in the winter.
