Default Simple French Toast And..................

Well, it started out that way. ;D My daughter had a root canal the other day and so she didn't feel like eating anything too hard so we settled on French Toast. And..... bacon! BTW, the wife is out of town.

It all started innocently right after I put the first couple of slices on to cook.

They were looking so good and I began to imagine a sandwich made with French Toast. Mmmmm...... That would be goood!!!!!

One thing lead to another and pretty soon I realized my dinner was going to be so much more than simple French Toast. I became ALIIIIVE I tell you!

I added a couple of slices of good thin sliced Swiss cheese which began to melt perfectly as I placed them on the fresh hot slices of subtle sweet and eggy bread. Then a couple of slices of Chisesi ham and then three slices of bacon and topped off with a drizzle of Strawberry Poppyseed vinagrette and mayo on the opposing slice of scrumtious French Toast.
I think I heard bells ringing and angels singing as I placed that top slice on ever so gently.

It was sooooooo good and yet it felt like being bad but in a good way. ;D ;D ;D ;D

That brings back old memories. When I worked for Hyatt Regency in New Orleans we use to it the same way but deep fry them. Nothing better than real French toast made with French bread.
