Ding Ding !!! I wish more people would think this way and just keep fishing instead of moaning and groaning about who motored by.

When someone decides to fish a high traffic area it doesn't mean that they have just leased that spot and its their water for the day.

When I'm fishing the channel, salt ditch, or river I just wave on everyone in hopes they stay on step when they go by. It makes less wake, lets the water settle faster, and eliminates them from rubber necking too long to see what your throwing. Unless they pass so close to cause a safety issue to me I just keep fishing. I'm the one who decided to stop there and put myself in a high traffic area so I'm not going to hold up everyone else.

True, I have had people wave me on, and actually while fishing, I would rather them stay on step than slow down. Unless they are loaded down with a boat full of bikinis.

it's not just BL. happened to me in other places as well. I was standing on the front platform about to grab a rod and it's like they had to stay on their course with miles of no one else but me... I swear it was 30 ft. If there'd had been fish there it would've been ok, it was just the lack of courtesy :-(

We all have our stories. I had one guy when we, wife and two little kids, were in a long line of boats idling back to the ramp in Quintana Canal, some genius passed me up with about 10 feet between us and the 3 foot wake behind his Skeeter came over the side of my Blackjack. This was in the last 5 weeks. So if you are here, just know the wife and kids wont be with me next time and I would be happy to discuss how smart and cool you are. Those Salt Life hat-heads!

whats funny is when the people come in and know they are too close, and won't ever face you. Their backs are always to you.

I like it when they wave and I just stare at them with the "iron face".
I figure it's probably the only retaliation I have when I'm on the receiving end of discourteous behavior on the water. You can't really argue with that type of person.

My issue is with the all the guys who think they do own the lake, several times been fishing not even close!!! to other boats using trolling motor only and have them start yelling at me I am to close, when I was fishing area before they even pulled up. Just because you got 3 guys paying you money to catch fish don't mean I have to leave the area I was all ready fishing like you better then me because you are guide, if I cant throw a super spook and reach your boat I am not to close.
