Default West Cove Saturday

The morning started good found some birds and picked up a bunch of specks unfortunatley most were too small. Ran look for flounder, no luck. On the way back in we stopped and tried again . My son caught this 40 inch drum on a pink swimming mullet. Took a few pics and released him. Also caught several hard heads on plastic.

Yes he got excited. After the bite the 20-30 minute fight was fun for me to watch. I actually caught a few rat reds during his fight with the drum.

He surley was released to fight another day. Maybe we should tag them and see how many times the same fish gets caught. But some people would never admit to catching a " BIG OLE NASTY ".

im one of the proud guys to admit i catch them even if im not expecting to catch them. they sure are fun to catch and that a good idea sud be able to tag them and see if they keep on growing bigger and bigger or die . there nothing wrong with catching them and taking pic of the bigg monsters ones and let them go . i know some people i talk to tell me ahh u wasted ur time catching those things but i end up telling them well at least i enjoyed the fight they give me and looking forward to catching me a bigggg one to be able to brag abt it or break a record. who knows.
