Default Kayak

Where can I find a sit on top Kayak to fish out of. I've seen the Pelican at Academy for 329 but is that a good starter? Not looking to spend too much on the first one.

i totally agree about pelicans being junk.. read reviews, spend the money on a good yak. i love my malibu kayak. only about $700.. 450lb capacity, dry storage, 4 rod holders and really stable. the hobies are really nice but they can be pricy $$

The perception at academy is a nice starter kayak for $500 and gets good reviews online.

Thinking about getting one to fish the rocks at Holly Beach.
I am looking at the one at Academy also, but my nephew just went to work at Pack N Paddle in Lafayette. Might get him to see what kinda deal he can get me.

Definitely just a summer yak. The only wet I want to be is fish slime. I have been through quite a few kayaks and my most comfortable for the type of fishing i like is the Hurricane Phoenix
