Default kayaking the river

I would like to make a trip starting from the quiskey ****to and end somewhere around lake charles. I was wondering if anyone has done something like that and where is a good place to start and finish. Either a one day trip or possibly a two day trip. We will be traveling in yaks and fishing along the way.

Once you get down the Calcasieu river near Lake Charles, the river current is a lot slower so it would require more paddling. Therefore I would suggest stopping at the White Oak park landing. This is located a few miles upstream from Hwy 171 bridge off of River road. This is located off of Hwy 3059.

The water level of the upper part of the river can change 5 to 10 feet after a big rain. So check the water levels to be sure it is not up high.

There is a few guys I work with that are planning a trip in April, they are gonna be kayaking from the Toledo Bend damm to Niblette's Bluff. They are gonna start on Thursday afternoon after work and plan on making it to Niblette's Sunday afternoon. If you might be interested I could put you in contact with them.

That's a pretty good trip just on the calcasieu there is very little current. We have a camp where bun****s pours into the Whiskey ****to.. my suggesstion would be mittie bridge to kinder bridge just on Whiskey ****to. That is about 2 days. It would take u a week if u include the river
