I am finally going to bite the bullet and purchase a kayak and have decided on these three; OK Scrambler XT ($479), OK DRIFTER ($599),Perception Pescador 12 ($499). They are all priced pretty close and the Perception is the former Tarpon 12. Out of these three, which one
is the better yak?

Another question, how do ya'll carry your yaks? I am going to have to come up with a creative way to carry mine since my huge dog box takes up most of my bed. I have thought about a ladder rack but the Ford does not have the bed holes to plug into anymore.

Make sure to demo the kayaks before trying to decide on what to buy. If none of these works look for a used kayak in the same price range.
For a 12 foot kayak buy a truck bed extender and that should give you enough room to put the kayak in the bed of the truck. Can buy the from Harbor Freight for like $40. Easy to load on and off.
