Is it the same brand GPS, your and his. If not Go look in your settings. Find the one that matches but it can throw all yoir coordinates off. If im correct

89 and 089 should be the same.

You can ask your buddy what format his waypoints are in and set yours for the same format.

If you don't want to go through your settings and change the format you can type it in google and it can change the format to fit your GPS.

Actually guys Datum and format have to match.. Example 84 Datum. dd.mm.mmm is actually the best I find... But If your buddies coord are in a different format, then u can enter those coord by changing your format to same as coord. Saving them.. Then change back to your preferred format I E. DD.MM.MMM . GPS will convert it for U...

You multiple by 60 or divided by 60.

Covert Lat. And Long.
Deg.Min.Min to Deg.Min.Sec.
29 16.184 x 60=29 16 11.0
93 47.049x60=93 47 02.9

Deg.Min.Sec. to Deg.Min.Min.
29 16 11.0 divided by 60=29 16.18
93 47 02.9 divided by 60=93 47.05
