Default US Open/Fox

watching the us open on fox. they better stick to football. not in the same league as the major networks at covering this sport. 1/2 the time i can't see the ball, even on the green and they jump around so much i can't keep up with whose doing what.

I agree. I'm willing to give them a pass because its their first year. Much rather Johnny Miller over Greg Norman though

But the reporter that interviews the golfers as they finish makes up for the shoddy coverage.

I am very surprised that they only used her in that capacity. She is obviously beautiful but she is actually a very good golf reporter. Fox needs to get her more involved in the golf... from her time working at Golf channel she probably has more experience at golf tournaments than the rest of the broadcast crew combined.

sooooo do y'all think Dustin Johnson rediscovered his addiction after yesterdays EPIC CHOKE JOB? tough to watch but he's becoming really good at it.....

i watch every swing Speith takes on a course, he played VERYYYYYYYYYYYY average in relation to what he can play but he never let it get away from him and he'll sink 4-6 putts outside 30ft over the course of 4 days.... he sunday a 37' then a 40' on back to back holes saturday then it went downhill... kept it tg enough to put him there Sunday and get a win!

Oosthuizen went retarded on the back nine, shot 29
Rory was going LOWWWW but then it got away from him
same goes for Snedsssssss

Default us open\ fox

No matter what venue NORMAN is on, count the times
he will phrase " NO QUESTION ABOUT IT ". You can count on
it when he gives an opinion.

I enjoyed most of the technology they implemented... the Pro Tracer was terrific. I think Fox will get better with more tournaments. It's tough to go straight to the biggest event and be exceptional... I think they will assess what the fans want and don't want and make the appropriate changes... continue to tweak until they get it down. Some of the other networks may also change what they are doing to emulate some of the things Fox did well.

It should be awesome when Tiger wins the British Open next month...

You do have to understand there wasn't anything to contrast the ball. No trees or green grass. One thing is for sure that course separated the men from the boys.

The course was Mickey Mouse with all the run off etc. Two balls could land on the green 5 ft apart and wind up 50 ft apart. That leaves too much to luck. That along with the worst greens ever and you had a venue not worthy of hosting a major championship. As for Fox, they have a long way to go but I'm sure they will improve. But having said all that it did produce a great champion in Jordan Spieth. Class act on and off the course.

man it sure did. those ol boys been playing on these cush cush manicured courses. they got a dose of the kind of Scotish type course golf was invented on, actually, it was invented in the pastures and marshes. the course really looked like a British Open venue. i really enjoyed watching it, just couldn't help comparing
fox with the others.

Exactly. That's why they get a pass from me. That course is not made for TV.

Well the no trees is pretty common of links courses, which is more of a European thing. The course was very poor. Looked like some I've played on, like Pine Shadows. The greens were practically bowls. I don't remember who it was, but the guy hit off the green, but it landed on a hill and rolled to within 4 feet of the cup. I bet the players won't give it very good reviews. Some have been pretty vocal already.

Most players are giving it very poor reviews, the others aren't saying anything. As far as it looking British, why play 2 British open courses this year? This was the U S Open.
