Tickfaw river has stuff like that going on all summer. Go to the prop stop and drink some worm buckets. It's a good time.

Guess I am showing my age or something but...... some folks like to roar down da bayou fast, other folks sit in the shade and cuss them for rocking their boat and bouncing their corks. I belong to the second group.

When you spend over half your life going an average of 5 mph on the water its hard to wanna go 55

The want to go fast has been around since the beginning of man, since testosterone and adrenaline showed up.

It has nothing to do with age or generations..

lmao yep! I have even seen the ole "lets see how many people fit in the boat to catch more" boats. 7 people in one bay boat is the record I've seen. 7 full grown adults. We do 5 every now and again, and its tough. Can't imagine 7

I just sold a 32 foot go fast. Had 557 ci motors that made 750 hp each. Right at 100 mph top speed. Very expensive hobby to go fast. A large % of the boats pictured cost >$300K all the way up to $1mm or so.

Lake Charles had a fairly large contingent of go fasts up until 2005 or so but not much since then.

Getting too old to wrench on it so I got into fishing. We participated in the Texas shootout, Tickfaw 200 and poker runs in Key West, Destin, Lake of the Ozarks.

Lotta Fun.
