Default Little Chenier 1-4 & 1-5

Hunted solo Monday & Tuesday. Monday was slow only getting a couple of opportunities. Ended up with 2-Grays and 1-Mottled Duck. I didn't expect too much for Tuesday however was pleasantly surprised when I had cooperative ducks. Ending the morning with a nice strap of 5-Grays and 1-Teal (GW) and numerous holes in the sky. Nice 2 days of hunting, looks as if my next chance will be Sunday morning. Good luck to everyone, it's winding down now and soon this season will just be memories and stories. Notice on the 4th picture that the sun even shines on a dog's rear end sometimes. LOL

They were moving fair, but definitely more cooperative. Still not seeing lots of birds and when they shut down that is it for the day. I have hunted some days until 12 noon just to see what happens. However we cannot (nor would I want to) hunt afternoons, but my camp is not far from the hunting area and I have done some observation and I'm not seeing many birds using the area as a roost. Some days the birds move in the 7 - 8 am slot and others it's 8:30 - 10:30 am. I am not getting any type of pattern to this vs weather either. They are just doing what they want when they want because they have so many choices regarding the high water.

Our exact observations too... Killing what we can and outsmarting the locals
