Default Big Lake 10-2-09

I went out with a friend today. Same old song & dance. Slammed the trout just south of the you know what by the you know where. The bite was hot & heavy but stopped as soon as the tide changed & started back in. It was really windy again today but there were tons of birds working in the lake. We chased a few birds to get the last few trout for a 2 man limit. 3 hrs on the water = 30 trout & 1 red Sorry no pics, I was in my buddies boat & didn't have my camera.

wish we would have fared as well. started off in black lake and hit some holes around spicer's with little or no luck. ended up in moss lake around 10:30 and managed to scratch out a few reds and specks in about 3 ft of water - middle of lake. birds were working but we never could get on em.

Spicer's looked like the spanish armada in the morning. have never seen that many guide boats - they were stacked 3 deep loading up on shrimp. At least 15 guide boats - all tore out back under the bridge headed out to Black Lake...
