Default 1/14/12 Sabine refuge hunt

Slow day today, one green head and a hen. On a positive note my dog did really well. It was fun just to be out even when the hunting is bad. We needed some wind today.

My brother-n-law said the same thing no wind will kill you. It's great being in gods country with friends/family what you kill or the fish you catch are just a bonus.

They worked early for us, if we could have hit the broad side of a barn we would have been done quick. You were right about the wind... What were you driving, I didn't see any salty cajun stickers out there this morning?

I was at the ramp in a black f250 with an sc sticker. We hunted in the front section.

We made a .75 mile walk through the tall cane, pothole slop on Saturday....My hip flexors just wouldn't work anymore. 4 of us went and came out with 4 Mottled's, 2 Greenheads and 2 green winged teal. We could have shot a pile of Mottleds. Can't believe the limit is one/person. We came out of the hunt justifying the walk by saying quality, not quantity.
