Default 5th annual Goos Ferry Perch Jerkoff

Largest white perch. Just over a pound. 2nd largest 14.3 oz with heaviest stringer of 3.65. My largest white perch was 14.0. My stringer was 3.44. We had way more numbers than they did but it was heavy fish and heavy stringer. Just couldn't find the big ones. I purposely did not scout cause I wanted any on the holes to bite today but may scout next year. All fish caught in 8 feet of wAter. Most still had eggs. They will be moving deep soon. First time catching white perch on Calcasieu in muddy water. We caught over 25 and dad cleaned before thinking to take a pic. It was fun!! Look out next year!

My first year to fish it. Dad had said he didn't think previous years had many white perch so I was thinking we had a good chance. There were quite a bit of white perch caught this year and I was surprised. We got caught up on this one while that was producing small white perch as soon as u put bait in. We should of left that spot as it took all are shiners and the first fish there was the 13 1/2 " 14oz one. Weird it was with all them small fish. Only one of my holes along main river channel produced white perch but we didn't get to try at least 8-10 other holes. 6-12 goes by fast!
