Higher classification = more $$$ for parish. They all do it. That's why they fought 15 years to get Andrew re-classified.

The radar shows the feeder bands to look like worse conditions than the actual eyewall. Got some bad stuff goin' through here right now. Can not believe we ain't lost power (knock on wood).

Isaac has moved 42 miles since 4:00 am.

Just talked to friend in Houma, he is without electricity but has generator up and running. Little water but nothing to worry about yet. He said the worst is still to come of course but he has plenty of alcohol and fireworks (yeah he isn't right).

They are about to get hit from the southwest.

My ex lives in Pierre Part and I've been trying to get with her to check on our son but can't get through. I hope they got out of town. My son lives down shell beach on Lake Verret. I just wish he would answer his damn cell phone so I can know where he is and that he is all right.

Also hope Capt. Hoop is alright.

Winds just started to get bad in Pierre part. Steady around 50 right now. The worst will be between 2pm and 7pm. They say we will have winds in excess of 60 for that 5 hour period.

Who is your son?
