Black pepper to stop the bleeding, wrap it in a dirty t-shirt, drink 2 beers, and call me in the morning.

Disclaimer: I am not a doctor, but I am from an accident prone bloodline.

May have to stitch under the nail. If not, it may not grow nails back right. I'd get to ER.

THIS... Unless you need something for the pain.. The nail will die and eventually be pushed out by the new nail coming in. Don't ask me how I know LOL

ER, you may have trash under & cause infection, also, if tetanus shot not up to date, will probably be best.

Default Go to urgent care

If y'all have an urgent care I would go there tomorrow. Same care as ER but cheaper, faster and you don't have to miss any work on Monday. For me it's a $35 visit, easy in easy out.

Be careful when you around that lathe, you almost lost a finger. Did the part come out of the chuck while it was running or did it smash it when you were trying to take it out?

i had a 12" disc I need a 6" hole in the center so I was cutting a groove throw the face. When the 6" center broke out the chuck throw it out. before I could move you see what happened.

Well yeah, it's gotta go somewhere when it breaks off. Lower your rpms when it gets close and when you feel or see your groove tool starting to push through u can prob stop the machine and knock it out with a dead blow. I would try not to let it drop when the spindle is turning. Somebody gonna get hurt.
