Default Which Reels compete with the Citica E200 for under $100?

I'm a big fan of the Shimano Citica E200s. Does anyone think there any other baitcasters that can compete with this reel for under $100?

To be honest with you, no there is not any other reels out there at that price point that can compete with the japan made citica e series. Hang onto them if you have one or some.

I got the lews American hero for 59$... And I am VERY impressed with it. I also have the. 99$ lews and the 199$ and I would put the American hero right up there with those two

I must have bought a lemon lews. If you'd ask me, I'd tell you lews SUCK. I bought the one around $100, and I think its terrible. It reels smooth, but it sucks casting into the wind, if you cast too hard it clicks at you, and I've already worn the worm gear. I do fish every weekend, but I put my last resort bait on this reel so it doesn't get as used as you'd think. I have about 8 Curado 200es, and they are flawless. My poor little citica 200e, had to go in for repair, the spring broke that pushes the button back up, but its going to be good as new as soon as its fixed.

Man you need to give Lews another shot.... All of my reels are lews and u know how much i fish.... fresh and salt... I cant say that i havent had any issues... but all were warrantied at Academy with zero issues.... most of the problems were my fault bc i dont take care of them. Never clean them after salt use.

Another vote for Lews. I bought my brother the American Hero combo. It's an awesome setup for the price.

Limu is a drink that makes everything in your life better. Even your reels. That stuff is magic!
