Default 1st Split Closeure

Was at it this weekend for the split closeure. Saturday was not very good, too much wind caused us to have to move from our open water location to a more protected area ended up with 8 for Saturday. grey, 4-teal, 2 Redheads, 1Canvasback. Return to the same spot Sunday morning within the first 20mins we had 7 birds down. Then things got back to normal for us with a few here and few there. Ended up with 13 for the day 2-Mallards, 2-Weidgon, 5-Redheads, 2-Canvasback, 1 Blackjack, 1-Grey. High light of the day Sunday was my youngest son knocked two Blackjacks with one shot........ we were unable to find one of them as it kept diving when we got close and finally dove and never came back up, man was he pumped up. Ended the 1st split with 113 ducks and 31 Poul-Doo. Hunting mostly weekends. Looking forward the remainder of the season.

Default Agreed

Thanks guys, both of my boys really enjoy hunting and fishing. I am a firm believer in the following: "KIDS WHO HUNT AND FISH DON'T STEAL AND DEAL". They both asked last night, what we gonna do since it's the split???, told em well who knows if weather is right might go try to get some of them specks in VB!. Youngest one says, "Well what time we gonna get up"? LOL Gotta love em.

No dog to get that diving blackJack? Creating and passing down memories of the outdoors is a great thing.

Yeah have a dog, but she was trying to swim in 2 feet of water, with 1 foot chop and the duck was faster than she was. LOL. She was playing catch up the whole time, and the duck won!
