Default Fishing with grandpa

I got the chance to take my grandfather fishing this morning. He's 83 and still going strong. He has been wanting to give the catfish a break and get on some redfish and thats exactly what we got. He hoped on my boat today and one stop is all it took. Even though we got a late start this morning, we had our limit of reds and one drum at 9:15 and left them biting. Its days like today and seeing the man that instilled my love for fishing hooked up and all smiles that makes fishing so rewarding for me. I can't wait to be able to do it again.

Its really special for me cause I am the baby of the family so when I was big enough to start going out in the boat was about the time my grandpa retired. The 2 of us spent many summers together at his camp south of Berwick. He taught me almost everything I know when it comes to boats and fishing and it was amazing to be able to give him a trip he won't forget cause Lord knows I have many trips that he gave me that I'll never forget.

Thanks guys. Im just glad he is still able to do what he loves and that I get to enjoy it with him. He told me when I get back from my next hitch offshore that he wants to spend a night juglining.

Nice report. Had me going down "Memory Lane" thinking of the fishing trips I took with both of my paw paws.
