Mountain vacation recommendations

My first preference is Tennessee. I almost had her talked into the Smokies again last night but she has her mind set on Colorado Springs for some reason. She booked us at Cheyenne Mountain Resort last night. July 21 thru the 27th. We head out after the Salty Cajun Tournament on the 19th. So I guess it's settled. Reading Danny's post reminds me of one of the reasons I don't like the Rockies so much. The elevations are terrible. I can't breath up there and have a constant low grade head ache. I never feel that way in the Smokies. Not to mention the Rockies are just so Harsh and Stark if that makes any sense. The Smokies are smooth and soft. They just feel better to me. Thanks for all the recommendations.
