That was cool.... How does the surfboard work? Is it tied to the back of the boat or what?

Nice acrobats.....

No, same as surfing an ocean wave. If the boat has enough weight in it it will push a big enough roller at 8-12 mph that you can surf it.

Most of us ride with different pads and seats. Also the new boards are completely different than the old school stuff. They flex a little so they land way softer and pop way higher off the wake.

This is my board, lots of extra padding on it and you sit with the ball under your butt. Keeps you off your ankles and have a shock absorber besides your knees and back. I wouldn't be able to ride anymore without it.

We're staying at Sam Houston in May if anybody wants to meet up and drink some beers. Planning on trying to catch some fish too while we're there.

That's much different than the 1985 hydro slide that we grew up on.

I have not skied in 25+ years..... but mostly did Solemn back then.

I always did want to run a solemn course and try a ski jump.... but there were none around back in the 60/70's.

I was looking through some old stuff last week and found an old ski vest I use to use. It is made of rubber/foam material and still in very good condition. Problem is..... there is no U.S. Coast Guard approved label.

I remember that. They used to have a ski team in LC also. I think it was maybe the Solari's that had the ski jump.

We used to ski on the river all the time. I can remember holiday weekends skiing with us and the Cagles being the only boats on the river. Talk about nice.

Calcasieu ski club back in the day.

Plaquemine ski club on the bayou across from baton rouge was huge back in the day. Run by Lonnie Marchand the owner of Cinch Hydrofoil and kneeboard accessories. We still go visit Lonnie whenever we are that way. He's in his 60s and still skis every week.
