Headknocker Day late and a dollar short

I had been watching the weather for a week getting goose bumps seeing the big "N" wind. My happines grew even more when I got a report the specktator limited out by 10 am Friday Morning on the beach. headed out from Laffy around 3:30 with 4 buddies expecting a fantastic day. when we got to the beach whe wind was due West 10-15 and the water was marginal....the waves were breaking big and kept fliping my fish basket over and ended up dumping a rod and reel from the rod holder, great way to start a day. it was too windy for topwater so i threw a glow/char sandeel Jr.....ended up with 4 keepers and 5 throwbacks by 9:30....the water was getting worse so we decided to make a move to the channel. got there at 10 and caught two small trout on my first two casts....then it died till about 1 we picked up 4 more keepers from 1-1:45 then had to leave due to obligations back home. My only consolation was that my las fish was right at 4lbs........should have played sick Friday
