Nice Avatar,

Our saleman jusy bought the same truck, very nice! If I had to buy a new one tomorrow it would be either a Tundra or a Ford

Check out the 13 laramie 1500 too, I'm ford all the way, but just got one for a company truck and it's awesome. Better fuel economy than ecoboost too with a 5.7

Feels much more solid than previous goats

I have a F150 Ecoboost that is a year old this week with 39K miles. I love the ride, the room, and the truck overall is good - no issues. I however, hate the fuel economy. I am averaging 15.8, and with that I should have gotten the bigger engine.

I just got rid of a 2012 ecoboost for major MPG issues. I was getting 6 mpg pulling a 24' bay boat. Took it in several times and was told nothing was wrong. Traded it for a 13 tundra and not looking back. Hope you dont have the same issues.

I am getting a little better than that pulling my 24' boat, but not much. I also get the same pulling a 15' ATV trailer with a golf cart. I should have done more research! Great fuel economy at 60 MPH, but I NEVER drive 60.

I really did not get it for the fuel economy since my company pays for 95% of my fuel. They were giving pretty good rebates on the 2013 since the year is about over. Also, I really did not believe all the hype they were telling about the fuel economy. However, it is a smooth riding truck.

My last 3 trucks have been Chevys and they have been very good trucks but I just wanted to try something different (Ford).

If not pulling anything and going 70-75 on highway what is fuel economy?

Mileage towing on a Eco is terrible but other than that I love mine.

I have 2013 2 wheel drive Eco towing my boat 50 i get around 18.5 but on highway it drops tremenosly. i average 19.5 a tank mostly highway miles and pulling boat from lydia to point 4 times a week it sure does much better than 06 5.4. Yesterday I recieved a recall for emission sensor or something. But the torque is awesome in my opinion

I have been debating buying one of these truck since June and I've always heard good things about the mileage until now. I have a cousin who has one and a good friend of mine has one. My cousin pulls a 22' fiberglass bass boat to Toledo bend all the time and gets about 14mpg @ 72mph, he has 3:7:3 gear ratio. My good friend has pulled our 19' nautic star several times to big lake and V. Bay and gets about the same mileage I get with my chevy 1500 z71(when I didn't have bigger tires), he has 3:5:5 gear ratio. Both of these guys are running stock 4x4 trucks.

What gear ratio do yall have? I've even had my boat pulled with the 5.0 that ford has and it may have gotten a mile or two better per gallon with our boat.

Let me be clear it really depends on boat. Pulling brads 24' fish master it gets 8 at best mostly 7. Pulling my buddy's 2110 NS. I get 11
Pulling a 19' ranger bass boat I get 15. Pulling my parachute of key west over 65 I get 6. But the torque curve is awesome. I pull a boat at 70 - 73 so I guess I'm asking for it. I drive slower on way home from launch.

2013 xlt 4x4 screw cab eco 3.55 gears LOVE IT averaging 17.5 interstate ,12 pulling 20' bay boat 70mph cant really expect more . I only have 3000 miles on it. Talk to some others and claimed milage should increase after break in. I guess we'll see! Power is awesome. I think my wife wants to trade her Tahoe for one too.

They are nice looking trucks for sure. The two worst thing about them is fords idea of a spark plug and their variable cam timing. Both issues may have been adressed with new year model trucks though. I have already replaced two engines since the new body style and new engines have come out. Their crimped together spark plugs suck too. Have seen tune up bills approach the 1k mark. Just depends on how many of those crap plugs break off in the head.

I'm not sure bout the 5.0 and 6.2 but the ecoboost doesnt have those long plugs like the5.4. My 2004 lariat had the long plugs , but I never had problems changing them. I had over 200000 miles on my 04 and I chnged them 3 times without incident. There isa special procedure that goes along with those plugs. If you follow it you rarely have problems.
