Default Tohatsu 30hp 4Stroke Performance

Does anyone own a Tohatsu 25 or 30 hp four stroke with the new gearcase? Looking at putting one of these on my 14 48 and wanted to see if anyone is running them and how they perform

I tested the 25 for Lake Area. It was a beast compared to the 2014 models. With a tank, battery and me in the 1444 AlWeld, it ran 35 on the rev limiter. We added a 280 pound man to the front deck and it ran right at 33 on the rev limiter. My neighbor has one on a waterlogged 1548 weldcraft. With 3 batteries, trolling motor and 1 man, it runs 31 mph. Add another man and it runs 30. His boat is a slug.
According to Lake Area, the 30 is stronger than the 25. And NO, the 25 cannot be bumped to a 30 at a reasonable cost. You would have to change the camshaft and the ecu, not economically feasible.

With a load don't expect to get up in skinny water!! Two men & 4 small gaters would not get up in two feet of water.

Danny was the hole shot comparible to the tohatsu 2 stroke 25 or 30? Those are some solid top end numbers for a 25, what pitch prop do you recommend?

New gear ratio. We were running a 12 pitch PowerTech, stayed on the rev limiter. My neighbor is running a waterlogged 1548 WelCraft. He gets up in the same depth as I do.
