Default Rocks for parking area??

Wanting to put a parking area say 100 x 60 at some land.
What is best kind of rock and then who it in Lc sells it?

6/10 is usually the go to size. 3" - 4" thick. No clue on who sells it that way.

At work, we would buy from Port Aggregate but don't remember what size.


Crushed concrete might be an option. There is a place in Lafayette along I-10 the has a crushing operation and piles of different sizes.


What size "rock" you need depends on your type of soil. Is the soil hard or kind of soft?

You can always use construction cloth or geo grid to keep it from sinking as well.

it all depends on what kind of soil and how it handles water. the place off of I-10 is crushed concrete, which normally works great as a base, but there is always trash mixed in.
