Love the boat! looks a lot like what I plan to have built by Chris.

Can you post a pic of the console layout?

Congrats! Nice lookin' rig. Like to hear about your decision on Talon v. power pole....I'd also lean to 2 v. 1 - no spin!

I am going to bring it down to Hackberry in the morning so I will post a picture of the console per the request above. I also will keep you guys posted about the Talon.

LA-Angler I think they can do just about whatever you want from an aluminum perspective as they buy/send the boat over to a shop that does the aluminum/metal work for them. It is hard to know what they can and can't do since there is not a catalog or complete list of options (that I am aware of). They seem to be open to/do try just about anything with these boats. I have the name and number of the shop from the sticker that is still on my racing seats.

Thanks for the pics. I was wondering how they had layed out the console and installed a glovebox. I want to put a tackle locker where your glovebox is. I really like the whole package they put together for you.

Beautiful boat!

Beautiful boat but I hope you never need to use the vhf with the antenna the way its mounted as handheld would work as well with it that low. You may also knock out the Garmin when you key up the vhf. The Vhf antenna shoulf be mounted on the handrail on a fold down or something. The antenna whip itself is also grounding out to the rail. I am not knocking the boat as I think its beautiful I just hate to see a brand new boat unsafe before it even hits the water.

I had the same question, at one time I had a ham amature radio license I can't imagine that antenna would do well being mounted that low. I asked the guy at Chris's and he said it would talk great and that was where they mounted all of them. It matters to me because I fish offshore alot with my family during the summer.

Believe me the guy does not know what he is talking about if he thinks that is right. You may talk great to someone across the street but a couple miles away its useless. I would get a rail ratchet mount on the right corner of the console rail. This way it can be folded down when not in use.

VHF is "line of site".
You want the top of the antanner to be the highest point on the boat.
