Well these trucks have been out for a little while. GMC Sierra and the Silverado

How is the new body style and engine holding up? How's the towing with the 355hp.

#lets here it

Friend of mine had owned an 07.5 and just bought a '14. Noticeable difference pulling his bass boat.

Research the recalls, they have had more than anyone should be allowed. The recalls haven't been minor issues either.

Oil leaks causing fires, steering loss, transfer cases on 4x4 models.

Love mine. Had a 6.7 Ford that I absolutely loved. But the ride and fuel economy are great! Still miss my big Ford though! Lol. I got the high country edition and that Thang is sweet!

Had a Ford broke down on the side of 210 yesterday lol. None of them are immune. The classic "dont make em like they used to" arguement here.

The gas mileage does SUCK BIG TIME!!! I drove a friends tundra to Kenner pulling a box trailer to pick up his spider. Filled up in lafayette and was praying on the bridge to make it to Henderson bc. The gas light came on while getting on the achaf Bridge. That is horrible gas mileage 8-9 miles a gallon pulling a trailer

I have a 13 tundra and the 4x4 flex fuel engines have known issues with the computers thinking they are running E85 fuel even when you dont. This causes them to run very rich, hard to start and crappy fuel eco.
I dont think any manufactor makes them like they used to is the most accurate statement.

Fuel flex on any engine sucks
End of story

If you stay under 70 mph, which is the safe way to trailer a boat, u will not have a massive drop in mileage.

Y'all must drive nascar style.
I go the 5.7 and I'm happy with my mileage.
Let's be real guys, it's a truck. If u want great MPG get a Camry Hybrid.... Lol
Arguing over gas mileage on a truck is pointless.

I'm not saying Gmc is the best truck on the planet, but hear is what I do know. I bought the 2014 5.2 for my son and a 6.2 6months later for myself. I came out of a 2008 6.2. My sons truck seemed to pull and sound much quiter than my old 6.2. We stomped it side by side at 40 mph and he hammered my old 6.2. My new 6.2 now takes him at any given speed when we tested them recently. As for towing a 24 champion, the 6.2 does very well when compared to my 2008 6.2. It's quiter, does not hunt for gears and the tow haul is usable without being so mechanically rough. It's a compleTly different truck than the old body style. In town (Lafayette) around 13-14. Highway 17-18 @ 75-80mph. Towing short trip to c point 11 mph.

At those speeds it must take forever to get anywhere.
