Default What do I need to go to Florida

What would I need if I want to bring my boat to Florida to tube and fish around the bays? Boats registered in Louisiana.
I also have a Louisiana boating license, would I need to get a Florida boating license also?

I think you need a out of state license to fish, but boat reg. is fine.

what he said. we do it every couple years. if you go in the near future, go to Pt. St. Pete and try the scallop diving. fins, mask and snorkel are all you need. great family fun and the scallops are delicious.

You need nothing, I have had friends from Abbeville drag their vessels here for their vacation several times, no problem.

Just be legal as you are over there.
Coast Guard package and registration.

Yes, Port St. Joe Scallop trips are awesome.
We are going next on Labor Day weekend.
We have about 10 boats going.

Last time we went, we had 40 people attend.
It is always a fun time in that little town.

Just remember. You can keep 1 red over 18". And 5 trout over 16". I pulled my boat there a few yrs ago. Got on the reds and almost went to Angola. Had 4 people in the boat and only 7 reds. I know. Ignorance is no excuse.

Definitely look at myfwc.com for regulations. They vary by state region. In my area we can keep 1 red between 18-27" and 4 trout between 15-20" (one of the 4 can be >20"). If you go to an area with snook you need a stamp in addition to a license to keep one.
