Cheers 1/25/10 So Easy A caveman can do it

David H,Chris R and I went out this morning for a little trip. 1st stop was the the bank that we have been murdering the reds on.......Well I guess the Strong west winds of yesterday kill those spots......Nothing but muddy muddy water......Start heading south...Pass by Grand weir....BINGO....Not one boat in there!!!! Pull up and its on like Jordan in hardhead catching contest!!!

Limited out with 15reds in about 45mins.......
Tagged and released 30 more...Last two trips we tagged around 55 reds....

Went out to find some trout!! Found em ......Not many are any size but we picked up 10....

My red days for the year are over...(Cleaning wise)....

Nice hual....I hate cleaning reds.....I rather clean 20 specs than 2 reds.
I thought it was a fine if you got too close to the weirs......your boat seems very close....but glad ya'll caught some trout.
Also, that last pic to the right with the bait planted/staged into the reds mouth....come on you got to be a little more creative than that......trout maybe but reds no way!

Also, how many times have you heard W complain about people fishing close to the weirs.....that it is against the law and that he wanted to call the game wardens......well he looks mighty close to me.....I guess that one pic is zoomed in 5,000%...

Great haul on the reds guys. Don't quite understand the hatin' on the reds because I have had many a days when if I caught just one of them bad boys it would have been great. If everybody else has a problem cleanin' and eatin' reds just give me a holler when you catch 'em. No problem on this end with a few of them blackened in the big old black iron skillet!

I'm the same way, I love reds and most of the time when I go to the bay that's what I'm going for.

dont take it personally jeremy also thinks that 30 12 inch trout are better than a 10 pounder. also i'd rather catch a 5 pound red than a 12 inch trout

his elevator dont go all the way to the top
