Default Incredible Terrible Day in Dularge!

I don't think anyone saw this coming with the beautiful conditions laid before us today on the water. Slick calm, light wind, sunny skies and mild temperatures had me feeling like it was going to be epic! First stop didn't produce a fish despite emerald green water. Neither did the second or the third! Fishing numerous spots in Lake Mechant devoid of bait had me scratching my head. I decided to take a gamble and run south in hopes of discovering life. Surprisingly the first cast produced a 3 lb trout. The next lost a 3 lb trout. I figured we were on to something! Ok, now the ice is dirty let's get this bite going. Stuck around the area awhile and only put 4 more fish in the boat. Some solid fish though. The rest is history. Ran back up north and jogged from one spot to the next in hopes of putting enough fish in the box to fry. At least that goal was accomplished but with the conditions today it should have been off the chain!!!

It defiantly was rough today. When I launched I thought we were gonna limit out. Weather and tides looked perfect.
That changed quick. No bait and the trout were hard to come by.
That front defiantly gave them lock jaw.

So glad to hear it was not only me down there trying to find trout and striking out. It was my first trip in the area ever and I was puzzled at the lack of biting fish. 1 trout all morning and then went and hooked a few huge black drum just to have something to bend my rod,
