and subtract another $3,000 for a 16,000 BTU cruisaire conditioner to replace broken one. DON"T let them try to fix it. Replacing the compressor or coils never last more than a few months on these marine conditioners. |

Boat being built between 1973-78 can be negotiated to around $127,000. depending on condition of boat and engines. Big Hats are the best deals out there right now. If you can find one with naturals you much better off.

I personally think for a live aboard a trawler is much easier to live with. He could pick up a nice Lee Choy, Marine Yacht, Albin or some other similar Trawler with either a single or dual DD or Perkins for cheap cheap cheap out of south Florida. I've been so tempted to get one but other things are priority right now. I've seen quite a few very nice examples going for anywhere from 40K up to 80K.

MG, Theoretical, yes. But the reality is a boat has every thing broken on it but ya just don't realize it yet.
