Default Laffy to Grand Isle

What's the best route from Lafayette to Grand Isle. I know my GPS will get me there, just don't want to go through a bunch of red lights in small towns. Thanks

Roll 90 down to race land, get off on hwy 1 then jump across the bayou to 308 the first chance you get, run that down til you pass larose, it will curve to the right and T into 3235, take the left and book it down to Fourchon then hang a left to grand isle.

Most efficient rout IMO

Hwy 316 to 3087 take right. Cross bridge take a left by cvs.
3rd light past bridge follow to T in Klondike take left. ( bourg/ larose hwy) follow all the way to la 1. Take right on 1 and don't let off till grand isle. Slow down in golden meadow

You can pick me up at the shop in Broussard, we're right there on 90. I can show you the best route to GI, not too many red lights. Just let me know when we!re coming back so I can tell my boss. Do I need to bring my yak? And I should probably tell you that I'm banned from Artie's.

I live in Raceland and drive to the Island 3 or times a year.

Take 90 from Lafayette to Hwy 308, when you get to the LA 1 exit keep going over the overpass, make a U-turn right after it. You will be exiting from 90 West bound onto LA 308 (Exit 215 B) head south, take that all the way to Larose. Cross Bayou LaFourche via the new bridge (west 15th street). It's a straight shot to the back 4 lane. Stay on 3235 (think is the hwy #) till you rejoin with LA 1 in Golden Meadow.

This route allows to you miss Matthews, Lockport and part most of Larose. If you catch traffic it will be one LA 1 in Matthews, going this route avoids that.
