Default Bank Fishing at Lacassine

Anyone know if they've been catching from the bank at Lacassine. Thinking about making a trip to try and catch some bream or bluegill, anything really. Still working on my PawPaw's boat, so don't have that option right now unfortunately.

Micah texted me yesterday that he caught 30 fish... brim, white perch, and bass from the bank.

Well, I guess that's a good sign. Figure I'll go pick up some crickets in Hayes and try my luck. Better than sitting at home, that's for sure. Prolly have to get out there early on Memorial Day weekend though.

So is this on the Lake Arthur side, or the Hayes side? It's been a while since I've been to lacassine, so not sure what you mean by new boat launch.

Not trying to hijack your thread but Is there a decent amount of places to fish from the bank? Always wanted to try there but never been.

when you get into the refuge stay to the left instead of taking the right to head to old launch on north end..... the new launch is at south end of unit D

Ok I know where you are now, weed. That's where I was planning to head to. Thanks for the info.

Bosshog--bream is good to me. Haven't been on a good fishing trip in a while. Now that I'm done with all that nasty school work, time to relax a little bit and catch some fish! Bust out the crickets!!
