Default Venice July 6,7,8

Left for Venice Friday morning with my dad for a weekend fishing trip. Started off Friday afternoon chasing redfish. We caught around 6 real quick then then moved to another spot for bass. Caught a 4 man limit and a few more reds in around 2 hrs. That was the first time I ever caught bass and redfish in the same spot. Saturday morning we stopped for trout before heading offshore for snaps. Bite was slow so after picking up about 20 trout we headed south. This was my dads first time offshore fishing and he really enjoyed it. It meant alot to me that I was able to share that with him. He is used to bass and trout fishing so imagine his surprise when he hooked is first snapper. It was a big one too... Anyway we busted up a five man limit in no time so we moved to look for mangroves but got ran off by pop up storms. Spent the afternoon at the camp napping and waiting for the storms to pass. That evening we went back for bass and caught another 40 in 2 hrs. Sunday morning we ran offshore again and caught another limit of snapper, 1 mangrove and 2 grouper. We were headed back to camp for 9:30. After cleaning 3 days worth of fish we were headed back to Lafayette. It was an awesome weekend with my pops and one that I will never forget. He is ready to do it again. A big thanks to my buddy Daniel and his dad for taking me and my dad fishing. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1341804720.332554.jpg

Yeah the whole drive to venice he complained how it was too far to drive to go fishing for only 2 says....well he called me this morning and asked when we were going back. Lol. said it was the best fishing trip he'd been on in a long time.
