Default First Time Redfish Fishing.....

I'm looking to head down to Lake Charles and close surrounding areas to try out the Redfish. I'm probably gonna try around 210 hwy. I seen a good deal of people fishing on shore when I went over the water on 210 hwy. I'll be in my kayak fishing though. I'm new to the saltwater/Redfish, so I'm looking for some tips or some websites on catching them. I'd prefer artificial baits, but whatever works. Thank you for any help!!

If you are a bass fisherman try similar tactics and baits that would catch bass...shallow crankbaits, jerkbaits, topwater, also poppong cork with artificial (or live) shrimp or minnow

put in on east side of bridge and paddle over to the southwest side and fish the area around the oil wells and gravel roads with a gold spoon
