Default Big Lake Saturday?

Thinking about making a trip to BL tomorrow. I live in Lafayette and fish VB most of the time. I only get to make a trip west two or three times a year. I checked the reports, they are calling for BL to be "choppy". Anyone have any advice if it is worth making the haul tomorrow? I have been reading on here that some guys have been catching fish early before the wind picks up. This may be my last trip of the year so I would like to go. MY boat has a deep V so I can run in choppy water, just not sure how the water is going to look. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks

The wind has been blowing and yes the water has been choppy in the lake. It's green and clear though and the bite has been good. Best bite for me lately has been very early.
